The Love life

Every child of God has received in his spirit the nature and life of God. This nature and life has changed our very being; it has linked us up with God; linked us up with life (Eternal life), with love.

In John 15:5 Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches.

The illustration of the branch and its limitless benefits to believers is astonishing. The branches are a part of the vine, and it’s beneficial for the branches to be connected to the vine, for only when they are connected can they blossom and bear fruits. For the vine and branches is one.

Like the illustration, the believer is united with Christ in the same way. It is the union of life in life, of love in love, of nature in nature. The believer is utterly one with Him. All that He is is yours. All that you are is His.

Jesus is life; we are a branch of life. Jesus is the unveiling of love; we are a branch of love.

Jesus brought this new kind of love and He demonstrated it in His earthly walk. He imparted us who are connected with His nature that we might live this love life. This new kind of love eliminates selfishness from our conduct. It makes us Jesus-like in our thinking, planning, and doing.

Love is a potent force, be it natural human love, or the God kind of love that Jesus brought into the world. Jesus speaking in John 15: 9 told us to remain in this love.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” – John 15: 9

This was outlined by the Lord Jesus because the love way is wisdom. Remaining in His love enables believers enjoy the Life substance of the vine. This Life of which Love also forms enables us to flourish and blossom. This love is the nature of God. He is the embodiment of love, and as we walk, think, and live in this love, we become one with Him in His love life.

This love way which has been unveiled to us through this unity with the vine gives us the confidence to come before the Father as sons and daughters, not as slaves.

What a great joy is experienced by those connected to the vine, for Hebrews 2: 11 says:

For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren …
This love way, this love life, this love walk is the one that is enjoyed by His Redemption.

For this relationship has unveiled that Christ was made unto us righteousness, so that we are righteous in the presence of the Father. This is shown in 2 Corinthians 5: 21, which says:

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

His Redemption is made unto us, so that we can stand before the Father free from Satan and his works.

By our accepting Christ as Saviour, and crowning Him as Lord of our lives, we become separated ones, and partakers of the God nature among which is Love and life.

Every recreated man or woman legally possesses this love. They may be oblivious to it if they aren’t aware of it, just as many received righteousness and never utilize the benefits from it, however it does not invalidate the fact of possessing it.

To tap into this love brought to us by Jesus. We need to meditate on the Word. Joshua speaking to the Children of Israel in Chapter 1 verse 8 said: “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Hearing it is not enough, for like the ruminant animal, it only digests what it’s eaten when it chews the cuds. Likewise, after hearing the Word, we need to meditate on the Word, in order for the Word to come to life for you and in you. When this happens, we enjoy the love life as branches.

However to benefit from this love we have to be connected to Him, and as stated earlier, this is done by our accepting Christ as Saviour, and crowning Him as Lord of our lives, so that we become part of the separated ones, and partakers of the God nature among which is Love and life.

To benefit from this if you haven’t yet accepted Jesus, I encourage you to say the short prayer below:

Heavenly father, I come to you in the name of Jesus and I ask that you wash away my sins, I believe with my heart that Jesus died for my sins, and you raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord therefore I am saved and I am a born again child of God. Thank you for saving me in Jesus name. Amen
If you have said this prayer, then congratulations! Next thing is to go to a bible believing church nearest to you, personally study and equip yourself with the word of God.

Enjoy a blessed week ahead.

P.s: most of the things written in this article were what resonated within me, when I read the book of John 15 and the book titled “The Hidden Man” by E. W. Kenyon. I hope this blesses you too.

Carpenter’s Son?

A preacher once gave an illustration of two friends, the first was struggling to make ends meet, while the second was a man who was respected in his field and had things going good for him, but whenever these two friends met each other in professional circles or in some social gathering, the first always pride himself when talking of the second by saying, “we’ve been buddies a long time, I know everything about him.” And to raise a few laughs, he’d say some loud remark, because he felt familiar with him. However, the people in such gatherings generally honoured the second. And though it seemed the comment of the first drew people to him, they only got to know him in order to connect with the second and move ahead, while the first remained where he was. The first was caught in this fixed scenario because he could not see past the cloud of familiarity between himself and the second. And this situation is similar to that which weighed down on the people in Jesus’ hometown. Co

Contemplating the Glory

2 Corinthians 3: 18: “ But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. ”- NKJV Imagine a scenario, where you woke up to a world where the image seen on the mirror is unrecognizable. I believe such an incident would make a number of people uncomfortable. Since reflective surfaces enables us to gain a perspective of what we look like. And if this cannot be achieved, it would be reasonable to say that people would be disturbed. For a long time, the mirror has come to be a necessary extra, of the things we utilize regularly. When we view our images on the mirror, it is easy to make necessary adjustments from what we’ve seen, so that we can look good and comfortable. However, this adjustments made can only be achieved if we have a clear image of ourselves. As believers, our mirror is the word of God. With daily study, revelation truths are il

The beauty of His house

“ Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. 2. He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3. Jesus has been found worthy of greater honour than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honour than the house itself. 4. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5. Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be said in the future. 6. But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. ” – Hebrews 3: 1 – 6 (NIV).   In a generally sense, when a house is unkempt, it makes the owner or residents feel uncomfortable, and a major reason for this discomfort is in the fact that: the messy state in which the house is found diminishes the beauty of the house. For even if the house is a mansion,
